BodyAwake® Yoga
BodyAwake® Yoga has played a major role in the embodiment process of my awakening journey. Daily practise of BodyAwake® Yoga, trains the body and the mind to anchor consciousness – the truth of who we are – in the core of the body.
In BodyAwake® Yoga, the angle of the body in each yoga position, combined with active and conscious breathing, allows for the flow of prana/energy to move through the body in an organised and concise way. When we steward the energy in this way, it can move through the body and ultimately beyond the primitive brain, into the higher brain centres, the home of creativity, flow, choice, and manifestation.
This style of yoga is based upon ancient yoga teachings, maintaining the integrity of yoga in its purest form. BodyAwake® Yoga is not about simply stretching or relieving stress. Conscious Yoga is about bringing together mind, body, and breath; building circuitry in the body in a way that allows consciousness / breath to rise up through the core of the body so that we may sense our true nature and have a greater opportunity to awaken to the truth of who we are as energy beings.
Practised regularly, BodyAwake® Yoga restores the flow of energy in the body. As energy flows freely in the body and when our chakra system is functioning as it was designed to, previously unrevealed aspects of our consciousness awaken. As we begin to perceive ourselves as more whole, we become attuned with our soul’s signature vibration – our truest truth. When tuned into this frequency, the voice of our Higher Self, flows through us as it is intended to, and we create the lives we were destined to live in this lifetime, with ease and grace.
When we awaken as the Soulful Self, we become the creative force that we came here to be, without the struggle which has become so familiar to us. There are so many distractions in life that pull us in many different directions, so much so, that we have become a society of “doers”. Yoga brings us to the mat and gets us “back into the body” so that we may experience our true essence of “being”. Eckhart Tolle beautifully describes being as “our innermost invisible and indestructible essence”. It is a state of inner connectedness with something benevolent, invisible, and immeasurable. In this state, struggle, pain, stress and worry dissolve. The essence of “being” is our true nature and it is accessible to us all, right now, in this present moment. This is the journey of awakening and of our own soulful evolution to wholeness where we know the self as an inseparable part of the benevolent universe.
